In honor of the missing Israeli air force captain who went missing in Lebanon in 1986, Qassam Brigades posted a compilation photo online on Saturday that included the faces of all the dead and living captives.

During a southern Lebanon attack, Arad’s F-4 Phantom detonated a prematurely. Hezbollah later handed over to the Amal Movement after being captured by them. Although it is thought that Arad passed away, there is no conclusive evidence to support his death.

Despite his public objections to the government’s “conquest” plans for Gaza City, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeatedly rejected any agreement with Hamas to end the genocidal war in Gaza and the growing ground and air attacks led by Israeli army chief Eyal Zamir.
While American President Donald Trump has suggested that less than 20 captives may still be alive in Gaza, Israeli authorities have said they believe there are at least 20. Trump and Netanyahu have repeatedly pledged to “destroy” Hamas and bring back all alive and dead captives.
Hamas has consistently warned that an increase in Israeli airstrikes and ground invasions would seriously harm the captives’ lives, with some of them already being killed by Israeli bombs. Additionally, the armed Palestinian organization claims that prisoners are “scattered throughout Gaza City’s neighbourhoods.”
Hamas’ threat on Saturday came just before hundreds of thousands of Israelis were scheduled to demonstrate their opposition to the government and demand an immediate and comprehensive resolution to end the conflict and reunite all captured people.
Hamas released a video of two Israeli prisoners earlier this month, roughly a month after it broadcast footage of two more detained Israeli prisoners, one of whom it claimed was seen digging his own grave.
The captives’ families, Israeli government officials, US and other Israeli allies, were outraged by the images.
Since the start of the war in October 2023, Israel has killed at least 65, 208 Palestinians, and injured 166, 271 of those who live there, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza. 12 653 people have died and 54, 230 have been wounded since Israel struck a ceasefire with Hamas on March 18.
At least four aid seekers have been killed and 18 injured in the enclave over the past day, bringing the total number of aid seekers killed to 2,518 people.
