Lydia Hall won the Vic Open at 13th Beach Golf Links, becoming the fourth WPGA Tour of Australasia winner.
The 38-year-old from Bridgend shot four shots clear of Australians Kathryn Norris and Kelsey Bennett.
Hall finished at par for the 72-hole event, his previous three victories in Australia being over the 36-hole sprint course.
“I’m really pleased that we won,” I said. Everything first, ever. It’s been 18 years, Hall said.
The 2012 Ladies British Masters title was Hall’s biggest career achievement.
The women’s Australian Open at Kooyonga and the Australian WPGA Championship at Sanctuary Cove are the two events that the WPGA Tour of Australasia and Ladies European Tour have coordinated for her.
I know I have a chance, Hall continued, “I mean, as long as I can keep doing what I’ve been doing, I’ve always got one.”
