“The university’s premises were abducted at around 8:30pm, causing concern for the safety of the students because the sounding area shares borders with towns that have experienced suspected herdsmen attacks.
The police PRO said that “some of the students here have simply been identified as Emmanuella Oraka, who was wearing only a wrapper dress, Fola in a yellow top, Susan in a flower top, and Ella in a black top.”
The incident was confirmed by a senior school employee who preferred to remain anonymous because he was not permitted to speak.
The students were abducted between their hostels and the North Core reading area of the school campus, according to the source, who said they were going to read that night.
Meanwhile, the school’s students who matched around the building with tree branches in their hands demanded immediate action from the school authorities when they learned of their kidnapping immediately sparked riots.
With little information on what is being done to ensure the safety of the students and restore public trust, the vice-chancellor, Professor Isaac Itodo, has not responded to any inquiries.
