Jon Grey will take over the men’s under-18 team while Jon Grey will replace him as Wales women’s assistant coach. He will do so in addition to his new job at Swansea City.

Grey has been appointed manager of the Swans’ loan and player pathway.

Before joining the Wales women’s set-up in 2023, Grey returned as a coach in 2009 and spent time with the Swansea academy in various capacities. He played youth football for the club in the 1990s.

Working with head coach Rhian Wilkinson, he helped Wales win the tournament’s first major tournament at Euro 2025 last year.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to rekindle my relationship with Swansea City,” said Grey, a club that has always been and will always be close to my heart.

“I want to thank each and every party for coming to a consensus.”

Jon Grey has played a significant role in the women’s program over the past few years, according to Wales boss Wilkinson, and I want to formally acknowledge and thank him for his hard work and contribution.

It is no surprise that Jon’s time with the program coincided with an unprecedented period of success for the team, which speaks to the level of coach and professional he is.
