Each of the over 2, 000 pilgrims from Bauchi State who are currently participating in the 2025 Hajj has received 300 Saudi Riyals, or roughly 124, 000 naira, from the governor of Bauchi State.
Governor Mohammed made the announcement while inspecting the pilgrims’ conditions at the Bauchi State pilgrim camp in Mina, Saudi Arabia.
I’m donating 300 Riyal to each of you because I know you’ve been through a lot during the Hajj rites recently, he said.

The governor also urged pilgrims to pray for Nigeria, particularly for peace, good governance, and sincerity in political leadership.
We ask that you pray for peace and the protection of our nation. Pray for honesty in leadership and deceitful politics. By hosting a successful Hajj, Saudi Arabia has demonstrated what good governance can accomplish. Nigeria, in our opinion, can reach these heights. We are working hard to provide good governance, he continued.
Governor Mohammed also requested that people pray for Bauchi State, particularly for peace and security.
He also praised the pilgrims’ good conduct and the state officials for making sure a smooth exercise.
