The Kano State House of Assembly was given the 1,368 trillion proposed budget by governor Abba Yusuf on Wednesday, calling it “a promise to consolidate gains, finish key projects, and build durable systems that serve generations to come.”
With a capital-to-recurrent ratio of 68: 32, the budget prioritizes capital projects, with 934.64 billion earmarked for capital expenditure and 433.4 billion for recurrent spending.

He referred to these allocations as “clear evidence of our commitment to nurturing human capital development, safeguarding the well-being of citizens, and laying the groundwork for sustainable development.”
Agriculture, security, water resources, commerce, tourism, youth development, women’s issues, environment, and climate change are just a few examples of the areas receiving notable funding.
