We were introduced to the Nigerian Legion’s Lagos Chapter today at the State Executive Council meeting to officially launch the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebrations.

I want our service members to know that Lagos State values their sacrifice. I have committed $100 million and two utility vehicles to the Legion to support its operations in order to express our gratitude.

He added, “We are also providing four two-bedroom apartments with food and other supplies for their members.”

The brave men and women who made the remarks made sense of Nigeria’s sovereignty as a nation.

According to him, Nigerians owe both to those who gave their lives for the country and to those who came back with devastating injuries from the Emblem Appeal.

We must remember them in both tangible and tangible ways.
