In order to support the expansion of 24-hour emergency healthcare services throughout the state, the Katsina State Government has purchased fifteen recently purchased, state-of-the-art intensive care emergency ambulances.
Another significant step in the state healthcare sector’s transformation would be the strategically placed ambulances along major highways, densely populated areas, and within communities to ensure quick response to emergencies.
Each ambulance has access to modern life support equipment, oxygen tanks, patient monitors, stretchers, and other necessary resuscitation tools.
The ambulances were created to improve state response to accidents and disasters, stabilize patients while in transit, and deal with urgent situations.

Governor Dikko Radda, represented by the Chief of Staff of the Government House, Abdulkadir Nasir, described the arrival of the ambulances as a governance marking scheme on Monday at the New Katsina Government House.
According to him, more vehicles will be moving across the state as new roads are being built and outdated ones repaired.
An ambulance should be able to arrive within minutes to transport victims to the nearest medical facility, according to Radda.
“And because accidents happen more frequently, the government must be fully prepared to deal with it.”
He said, “These units are mobile intensive-care units designed to save lives at the most critical moments. They are not just vehicles.”
He remarked, “No citizen of Katsina State should lose their life simply because aid cannot be delivered in time.”

He argued that the current state government is purposefully funding fully functional, high-quality ambulances to improve the delivery of emergency care, lower the number of avoidable deaths, and lessen the burden on secondary and tertiary medical facilities.
He remarked, “Our goal is simple: a faster response, better care, and a healthier Katsina State.”
He claimed that the program is entirely centered on saving lives in both urban and rural areas.
Every region of our state must have access to healthcare at all times. The governor’s representative claimed that this initiative brings that vision to life.
In order to ensure effective deployment and supervision, the Chief of Staff noted that a coordinated management framework will be developed in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Ministry of Health, and other relevant local government bodies.
To ensure maximum impact and coverage, the ambulances will be deployed in different phases throughout the three senatorial zones and major healthcare facilities.
