Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, visited Duoye Diri, his counterpart in Bayelsa State, on Sunday after Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo passed away.
Up until his unexpected passing on December 11, Ewhrudjakpo served as Bayelsa State’s deputy governor.
In close quarters, the governor arrived in Yenagoa dressed in a black native shirt and a matching black hat.
Before being ushered into the Bayelsa State Government House, Fubara and Diri exchanged greetings.
The Rivers governor earlier expressed regret for Diri and the Bayelsa State Government by calling Ewhrudjakpo’s death a terrible loss.

The late deputy governor was described by Fubara as a man of exceptional calibre who had lived anexemplary life in the public service. He also brought together intellect and humility.

Senator Ewhrudjakpo was a man of extraordinary caliber who had a remarkable public service career.
