The state’s 20 local government chairmen have received sports utility vehicles (SUVs) from the governor of Ogun, Dapo Abiodun.  ,
Governor Abiodun stated that the action is in line with his promise and is intended to promote order at the local level of development.
The governor praised the local government chairmen for their efforts in spreading the benefits of democracy to the people of Abeokuta during a speech delivered by Ganiyu Hamzat, the governor’s Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, during the distribution held in the state.
Governor Abiodun reiterated the commitment of his administration to working closely with them to enhance Ogun State residents’ quality of life and well-being.

Afolasade Adeyemo, the chairman of the Ogun State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), described the response as a welcome development.
Adeyemo expressed deep gratitude to the governor for keeping his promise.
The Ogun ALGON leader praised Governor Abiodun’s accomplishments in key areas like education, housing, healthcare, and road infrastructure. He also serves as the chairman of the Odeda Local Government Area.
She assured the local government chairmen that they would continue to support the governor’s efforts to make Ogun State the pride of its residents, indigenes, and Nigerians in general and that the governor’s ISEYA mantra has elevated Ogun State to a prestigious position.
