Before his marriage to Holly Ramsay, Gordon Ramsay expressed his gratitude to Adam Peaty in a sweet message on social media. He said the Olympic swimmer is “so lucky” to be welcoming him into his family.
Gordon Ramsay has shared an emotional wedding-day tribute to his daughter Holly as she prepares to marry Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, describing himself as “so lucky” to welcome the sports star into his family.
The celebrity chef marked the occasion by posting a heartfelt message to Instagram alongside a photo of himself with Holly. Gordon wrote: “I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son in law @adam_peaty! I love you so much @hollyramsayy and couldn’t be a prouder Dad xxx.”
Can’t wait to hear what a lovely day you’re all going to have, a fan said. Enjoy the moments, and spend some time observing the joy and love that surround you. Have a wonderful day.
Another person gushed, “What a beautiful couple, and they are so fortunate to have you supporting them.” Today (December 27), Holly, 25, will wed Adam, 30, in a lavish ceremony at Bath Abbey.
Members of the Beckham family and close Ramsays friends were expected to be on the couple’s glamorous guest list. According to witnesses, wedding preparations at Bath Abbey started this morning.
Before the prominent guests started arriving, staff placed white roses around the entrance of the abbey and set up media pens and cordoned areas.
Unfortunately, there were some issues with the wedding preparations. In recent weeks, Adam’s conflict with his own family has been the focus of media attention, and according to sources close to the Peatys, both of his parents are being detained.
The Sun reported earlier this week that Caroline, Adam’s mother, had considered attending the wedding without her consent, but she ultimately decided against it.
A family member said she did not want to ruin the couple’s big day, and also described the situation as too painful to endure in public. The feud is believed to have started after tensions during Holly and Adam’s engagement party last year, which was filmed for Gordon’s upcoming Netflix documentary.
According to insiders, Adam and Caroline had a confrontation that later turned into a larger family breakdown due to the conflict over the guest list and the filming arrangements.
Adam’s family rift only grew worse in November because his mother was denied entry to Holly’s hen do. Louise Williams, Adam’s aunt, later claimed Caroline had been turned down for her appearance concerns and that the couple had been online.
Caroline also expressed her own frustration with her son’s life, saying that she felt forced to leave. Ramsay’s mother described the Ramsay family as being “very insular,” which appeared to suggest that he was choosing his in-laws over blood relatives.
However, she then continued, “Please, the message I want Adam to hear is that no matter what happens in the future, you can know that I love you, your dad loves you, and you can talk to me whenever you want.”
In a later public statement, Adam acknowledged the conflict and pleaded for understanding, while insisting that “there are two sides to every story.” The wedding is now expected to be attended by only his sister Bethany.
