Gordon Ramsay wrote a sweet message for Adam Peaty on social media ahead of his marriage to Holly Ramsay, telling the Olympic swimmer he is ‘ so lucky ‘ to be welcoming him into the family

Gordon Ramsay has shared an emotional wedding-day tribute to his daughter Holly as she prepares to marry Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, describing himself as “so lucky” to welcome the sports star into his family.

The celebrity chef marked the occasion by posting a heartfelt message to Instagram alongside a photo of himself with Holly. Gordon wrote: “I’m truly so lucky being able to walk this beautiful bride down the aisle and gaining an incredible son in law @adam_peaty! I love you so much @hollyramsayy and couldn’t be a prouder Dad xxx.”

One fan responded: “Can’t wait to hear what a lovely day you’re all going to have. Enjoy the moments, spend time to watch the joy and love around you all. Have a perfect day”.

Another gushed: “What a beautiful couple and they are so lucky to have the support from you”. Holly, 25, is set to marry Adam, 30, today (December 27) in a lavish ceremony at Bath Abbey.

The couple’s glamorous guest list expected to include members of the Beckham family alongside close friends of the Ramsays. Onlookers have said that preparations for the wedding began at Bath Abbey early this morning.

Staff positioned white roses around the abbey’s entrance, and put media pens and cordoned areas in place before the high-profile guests started to arrive.

Unfortunately, the build-up to the wedding has not been without controversy. Adam’s strained relationship with his own family has dominated headlines in recent weeks, and according to sources close to the Peatys, both of his parents are being excluded from the ceremony.

Earlier in the week the Sun reported that although Adam’s mother Caroline had considered attending the wedding uninvited, she ultimately decided against it.

A family member said she did not want to ruin the couple’s big day, and also described the situation as too painful to endure in public. The feud is believed to have started after tensions during Holly and Adam’s engagement party last year, which was filmed for Gordon’s upcoming Netflix documentary.

Insiders have claimed a disagreement over the guest list and filming arrangements led to a confrontation between Adam and Caroline that later escalated into a broader family breakdown.

The rift between Adam and his family only got worse in November when his mother was not invited to Holly’s hen do. Adam’s aunt Louise Williams criticised the couple online, and later claimed Caroline had been excluded from the wedding over concerns about her appearance.

Caroline also spoke out herself, saying she felt like she was being pushed out of her son’s life. Adam’s mum described the Ramsay family as “very insular”, and seemed to imply that he was choosing his in-laws over blood relatives.

However, she then added: “But please, the message I want Adam to hear is no matter what happens in the future, please know I love you, your dad loves you, you can come home and talk to me at any point”.

Adam later broke his silence in a public statement, acknowledging the dispute and asking for understanding, while insisting there were “two sides to every story”. Only his sister Bethany is now expected to attend the wedding.
