Tilly Ramsay’s daughter, Tilly, and his wife Tana, both speak out about the effects of Strictly Come Dancing on the ex-member nearly five years after her appearance on the show.
Gordon Ramsay’s daughter Tilly Ramsay was left horrified by what happened to her appearance after appearing in the Strictly Come Dancing live tour. Tilly, 24, competed on the 19th series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2021 alongside professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin.
She acknowledged that there was a slight grating effect to appearing on the post-live-show tour after almost five years.
Speaking to The Times alongside her daughter, Tana Ramsay shared how shocked the pair were about Tilly’s hair post-show.
“It was the heat,” Tana said. It was twice daily, every day during the tour. Her thick, blonde, curly hair gradually developed brittle and fragile. We both experienced a slight gloom, didn’t we?
Tilly acknowledged that using various products, cutting, hydrating, and waiting it out for “a couple of years” for her hair to return to normal.
Tilly, who has also appeared on programmes such as This Morning, MasterChef Junior, and Blue Peter, also admitted she had become baffled by TikTok culture. She continued: “I see these ‘Get ready with me for school’ videos where girls say they have an hour and haven’t started their make-up yet. At school, I used to get told off for shiny lip balm.”
Tilly has also opened up about what life is like for her siblings as her career has grown stronger.
Ahead of the launch of Tilly’s ‘Dish IT Out’ series on Amazon Prime, Gordon wrote a little tribute on Instagram. He said: She’s all grown up and has her own show. So proud of you @tillyramsay and your new @primevideo show #DishItOut (that’s streaming today !)
“And a big thanks for welcoming the elderly man as a guest child…he still has a few tricks to show you!” I’m so proud of my father and can’t wait to watch the rest.
When asked by Ben Shephard on This Morning last year about what it was like being in such a big family, Tilly quipped: “Oh 17 and counting! There’s a lot of us!”
She continued, “Mum and dad, you know what I love, they just love being parents and they’re great at it” despite the fact that the house is quite busy.
In November of this year, Gordon Ramsay and Tana welcomed their sixth child, Jesse James Ramsay, into the family.
