The Beckham’s family war rages on, but close friend Gordon Ramsay has reportedly tried to lighten the situation by sharing wisdom from his own family fall-outs
Victoria and David Beckham’s relationship with their son Brooklyn shows no signs of improving, with the 26-year-old allegedly sending a legal letter to his family demanding to only be contacted through his lawyers.
The Beckham family feud has rumbled on for some time, with Brooklyn seemingly cutting off all contact and even reportedly blocking his family members all on social media, leaving his parents “devastated”.
However one friend who has tried to ease the situation is Gordon Ramsay, who has reportedly tried to make light of Victoria’s situation by telling her it’s not as bad as his own family woes. A source told the Daily Mail that Gordon has been trying to cheer Victoria Beckham up by telling her: “You’ve got one feud… But I’ve got the whole Top Trumps deck!”

It’s pretty clear the renowned TV chef is a family man, constantly gushing over his wife and five children – but his hands on attitude towards his kids stems from his own less-than-perfect childhood.
In an interview with Fred Sirieix on the Oh La La podcast, Gordon described how his own father, who died in 1997 aged 53, had been such a bad parent to him growing up that he promised himself he would give his children a better life. He said: “I didn’t want to turn out like my dad. I didn’t want to live in a council house and put my kids to school with second-hand clothes. You strive to better yourself.”
The chef also heartbreakingly shared how his dad was abusive towards his mother Helen, saying: “I watched how he battled alcoholism and how he became terribly violent with my mum, to the point where she feared for her life.
“Every time he got violent, any present that my brother, sisters, or I had given mum would be smashed, simply because he knew it belonged to her. There were instances when the police were called to take him away; mum was taken to the hospital while we kids were taken to a children’s home.”
Gordon also opened up about his younger brother Ronnie, who fell into deep struggles with heroin addiction. The presenter said he watched his brother go from being a ‘blue-eye boy’ to falling down a ‘slippery slope in freefall’ after mixing with the wrong crowd.
Ronnie was arrested in 2007 and tried to ask his famous brother for help – which he then refused. After Ronnie was jailed, Gordon revealed his brother threatened to kill him and his children in an effort to get cash, prompting him to amp up security measures around his home.
But it’s not just his blood relations he’s cut ties with, he has also had issues with his father-in-law too. Gordon and his wife Tana’s dad Chris had a huge public fall out when it emerged he tried to break into the chef’s emails and find financial details and other information.
Having been sacked as CEO of Gordon Ramsay Holdings Ltd, Christopher Hutcheson conspired with his sons Adam and Christopher to access company systems almost 2,000 times between 23 October 2010 and 31 March 2011. Hutcheson was jailed for six months in 2017.
The family curse seems to have continued, with his new son-in-law Adam Peaty falling out with his parents in the run-up to his wedding to Gordon’s daughter Holly. Holly and Adam exchanged vows on 27 December, but due to the ongoing family dispute, only one member of Adam’s family attended the wedding.
Adam’s mother, along with several other family members, were not invited to their big day, with only his sister Bethany present. The dispute allegedly started when the swimming champion’s mother Caroline purchased a dress for the wedding that the couple disapproved of, before Caroline was excluded from Holly’s lavish hen party at Soho Farmhouse, where Tana Ramsay and Victoria Beckham joined to celebrate.
Gordon raised eyebrows in his wedding speech that apparently contained thinly-veiled digs aimed at Adam’s family. He declared that his wife Tana “will be a good mum to them both”. Gordon also praised how stunning Holly appeared and told Adam he was a “lucky man,” saying: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.” In what seemed like a pointed reference to Adam’s missing parents, he told the 25-year-old Holly: “Shame you don’t have the same.”
