Gordon Ramsay was overcome with emotion as he saw his daughter Holly in her wedding dress for the first time, with the touching moment captured in a video shared by the bride
Holly Ramsay has melted hearts after sharing a deeply emotional moment from her wedding day, capturing the second her famous father Gordon Ramsay saw her in her bridal dress for the very first time.
In the touching video, which Holly posted for her followers on Instagram, the usually tough-talking TV chef is reduced to tears, overcome with emotion as his daughter steps into view.
The clip, which Holly captioned: “A moment we have talked about since I was a little girl, I’ll always be your bug I love you dad”, shows Holly moments before walking down the aisle, dressed in an elegant white gown as she prepares for one of the biggest days of her life.
When Gordon walks into the room and sees her, his reaction is instant. His face crumples, his hands fly to his mouth and he struggles to hold back tears, clearly moved by the sight of his daughter all grown up and ready to marry the love of her life.
Holly, 25, can be seen smiling warmly at her dad, clearly touched by his reaction. The moment perfectly captures the close bond the pair share, something Gordon has spoken about many times over the years.
The emotional “first look” took place ahead of Holly’s wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, whom she married in a stunning ceremony surrounded by family and close friends in December 2025.
The joyous occasion was marred by a bitter family row that resulted in Adam’s own mother being excluded from the ceremony, with his sister Bethany being the only family member from his side present on the day.
The couple, who have been together for several years, got engaged in 2023 and have often shared glimpses of their relationship on social media, delighting fans with their obvious affection and support for one another.
This update also comes after reports suggest his family have told friends they’ve ‘given up hope’ of mending fences with their son following Gordon Ramsay’s recent remark.
The celebrity chef, aged 59, referred to himself as ‘dad’ in a comment on Adam’s wedding video where the Olympian declared he would ‘always choose’ his new wife Holly. In a touching wedding video shared on Instagram, Gordon penned: “Beautiful words @adamramsaypeaty True Love. Congratulations love you both so much dad.”
Gordon also left his followers in tears as he shared a sweet look at his daughter Holly’s wedding to Adam. All eyes were on the newlyweds following a highly public fallout between the Olympian and his parents.
But all seems well with his new in-laws with the famous chef sharing a gushing tribute a reel of snaps from the big day last month, including a snap of the chef holding a microphone and delivering his now-famous speech. Posting on Instagram , an emotional Gordon described the day as a “moment I’ll never ever forget”.
He gushed: “One of the most exciting car journeys ever in a father’s life is on the way to the Church with your beautiful daughter, incredible conversations and helping her to stay calm and relaxed ahead of our walk down the aisle, @hollyramsaypeaty @adamramsaypeaty @tanaramsay a moment I’ll never ever forget.”
Both Adam and Gordon’s daughter Holly were quick to repay the sentiment in the comments section, with Holly saying: “I love you dad xx,” and Adam simply sharing three white love hearts.
Among the photos uploaded was Gordon and his daughter clutching each other’s hands on the journey to the ceremony. The was also a snap of the proud dad having a dance with his daughter in the evening party.
Other uploads showed Gordon and wife Tana with their daughter, and Gordon clearly enjoying sharing his speech with the crowd. The last image seemingly showed Gordon and Holly sharing the first dance together.
A number of followers shared memes of people in tears, while another wrote about Holly: “Okay but your dress.” After sharing a crying emoji face, they continued: “So beautiful! I hope to find something like it!”
