Oliver Glasner, the manager of Crystal Palace, claims that the English Football League doesn’t respect the Uefa Conference League in light of the pressure on his team to play.

In a match scheduled for the week following the other quarter-finals, Palace will face Arsenal on Tuesday (20:00 GMT).

Between Premier League games against Manchester City on December 14 and Leeds United on Saturday, the EFL moved the game to Arsenal as Palace played KuPS in the Conference League last Thursday.

After losing 4-1 to Leeds, Palace had only won once in their eight Conference League games this season, according to Glasner, who said, “This is my only criticism of the EFL.”

“I believe fixing a round when a Conference League game is being played just shows how un respectful the Conference League is because they never would fix a round when there are Champions League or Europa League games.”

So I believe that’s the reason we need to play the game again in three days, and perhaps because of it.

However, it shows that we are competing in four different games, that we want this many, and that we don’t have to be upset about it.

Palace will play at Arsenal for its fourth game in ten days, but the EFL has already made a statement.

The EFL criticized the “expansion of European cup competitions” in November, saying that it had not been done in sufficient consultation with the domestic leagues.

The EFL claimed that while scheduling conflicts are now completely unavoidable, it had “shown a willingness to compromise.”

Instead of having six midweeks two years ago, Uefa’s European calendar now includes 10 midweeks, with the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League having each week of exposure.
