Oliver Glasner, the club’s manager, claims to be “100% committed” to Crystal Palace for the rest of his career.

The 51-year-old Austrian announced last week that Selhurst Park would be closed down by the end of the season.

After receiving a new contract last summer, Glasner informed chairman Steve Parish that he would not accept it, according to a report from BBC Sport.

The club’s approach to selling key players has sparked resentment among the Palace manager.

The day before the Premier League game against Sunderland on January 17th, Marc Guehi, the captain of Palace, was sold to Manchester City.

At the start of the Premier League season, Palace also sold Eberechi Eze, a fellow England international, to Arsenal.

After Sunderland beat his side 2-1, Glasner claimed that the club’s hierarchy had “allowed them completely,” but he on Friday at a press conference he spoke in a more cordial tone.

This week, I had a very long dinner with Steve [Parish] and we discussed the situation, the timing, and a potential replacement.

It was a very enjoyable discussion for both of us because I wanted to explain. Steve and I are still fully committed, despite what I promised to do to prepare for a fantastic season.

Glasner, who helped the Eagles win the FA Cup with their first major trophy last year when they beat Manchester City, added that he “does not regret” his comments after the Sunderland game.

“Do you believe that was the best strategy?” No, I don’t believe so, but Oliver Glasner is the one. He continued, “I’ve always said that Oliver Glasner is that.”

I would like to be, but I don’t have to be perfect. I simply stated my feelings without personally attacking anyone.

Despite rumors that he is set to leave the club during the transfer window, Glasner clarified that French international Jean-Philippe Mateta will be available for Palace’s home game against Chelsea.

He will play Sunday and has not submitted a transfer request and has not made any offers. That’s the circumstance, he explained.
