Gino D’Acampo has urged ITV to speak with him following recent allegations of “cruel” behavior on the set of his TV shows that were made this weekend.

The TV chef is said to be “deeply concerned” about the “escalating distress” his family is experiencing. Gino, who has three children with his wife Jessica, pleaded with his employers to reach out to him and said he would cooperate fully with an investigation.

The This Morning star and former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner came under the spotlight earlier this month when ITV News reported that dozens of former staff and freelancers made allegations about working with Gino, calling his behaviour over a reported 12 year period “unacceptable”, “distressing”, and “horrendous”.

Since the allegations – which the star vehemently denies – Gino’s shows have been pulled from ITV’s schedule.

Gino is accused of creating an explicit image of a woman while filming one of his ITV shows, making a new allegation this weekend. a producer who collaborated with him on the television series Saturday Cooks! He demanded to pose for a picture of me in front of the rest of the production team on the studio floor during live filming, the Sun claimed. I thought it was going to be a harmless caricature. But when he showed me the finished drawing, I was shocked and embarrassed.

After being accused of making a crude remark about the former Bake Off judge, Gino’s camp claimed he had “the ultimate respect for Mary Berry.”

The woman also asserts that D’Acampo made an insult to Mary Berry, the Great British Bake Off star.

According to a statement in response to the allegations made by Gino’s team’s team last night in a statement, “Mr. D’Acampo was first informed of these allegations when he was emailed by The Sun on Sunday about events that are said to have occurred more than 17 years ago.” No specific year, person, or context have been provided; all they have is incredibly vague allegations. He does not recall these allegations or the behavior that has been made up, and neither has he ever been brought to his attention. He denies these allegations. The Sun reported on Sunday that the allegations stem from a December 2024 complaint to ITV. If so, he demands that ITV get in touch with him and pledges to help. He is extremely concerned about the devastating effects these allegations are having on his family.

Gino had been a regular on This Morning alongside former presenting duo Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield
Gino and Holly Willoughby, both former presenters, had a regular presence on This Morning.

The complaint was brought to ITV’s attention in December 2024 as a result of alleged events from 2007-2008.

ITV responded to Gino by saying, “ITV is completely committed to making sure everyone is treated with respect and feels able to give of their best.” In order to handle any complaints we receive about on-screen presenters and give ITV a centralized view across all productions, we have strengthened these policies over the past five years and established a dedicated Complaints Handling Unit in 2024.

“ITV expects very high standards of behavior,” he said. ITV’s Code of Ethics and Conduct applies to everyone who works with it. At ITV we treat everyone with courtesy, fairness, dignity and respect and do not tolerate abusive behaviour of any form in the workplace. Through our Conduct and Standards Guidelines for On Screen Personalities, which were released in 2024, we have also reiterated what we expect from our on-screen presenters’ behavior.
This press release details inappropriate and unacceptable behavior. We have a strong protocol for conducting investigations, and we are committed to doing so in accordance with our strict guidelines.

A D’Acampo spokesman said in a statement to The Sun that “Mr. D’Acampo only has respect and admiration for Mary Berry and they have always had a great working relationship.” He does not recall any of these allegations ever being brought to his attention. He denies these allegations”.
