Following a tumultuous romance with City worker Jack Stacey, reality TV star-turned-documentary maker Georgia Harrison exclusively reveals she is expecting her first child.
Georgia Harrison has spent the last few years fighting for the online world to be safer for future generations – and now she has an extra incentive to continue championing history-making changes. The former Celebrity SAS winner, 30, is pregnant with her first baby following a beautiful romance with her City worker boyfriend Jack Stacey, 33.
After connecting on a dating app last summer, they made their first connection in Essex, and now they are living together. You become aware when you become aware. Although it’s cringey, we definitely feel that way. Anyone who has met us is aware of our strength and happiness, she says.
We both had children, and while some may think it will arrive too soon, we are aware that this is fantastic news and that we are overwhelmed by it.
“We’ve both lived to the point where it’s probably bothersome, partied to the point where it’s probably bothersome, and done everything you could do.” Why not have our children sooner rather than later if we have the gift of having them?
Georgia has come a long way since first appearing on The Only Way is Essex in 2014 and on Love Island in 2017. In 2023, the BBC named her one of the world’s 100 most inspiring and influential women, alongside human rights lawyer Amal Clooney and former First Lady Michelle Obama. This year Georgia produced an ITV documentary series.
After she waived her right to anonymity and testified against her ex-partner, who made money from sharing a private, intimate video of her on the internet without her knowledge, she began a political lobbying and documentary career. He was given a 21-month sentence after being found guilty of voyeurism and two counts of making false statements about his sexual activity in March 2023.
After ten and a half months in prison, he was ordered to pay back £22, 305 of illegal income shared in the intimate video. In 2023, Georgia’s rallying cry for better protection was rewarded by the government’s proposed changes to the online safety bill to streamline the criminal prosecution process. She still struggles to accept everything she has accomplished.
“I think I’ve accomplished a lot for someone my age, but I’m probably also suffering from imposter syndrome.” I find it difficult to comprehend what I’ve done in terms of the larger picture. However, I also had to grow up and learn that everything I’ve done in the past was meant to get me where I am now.
Given her experiences, it’s not surprising that Georgia acknowledged that she had reservations about meeting Mr. Right before meeting Jack in August.
“But you’re not going to get the job, are you,” you might say. she chuckles. I was considering that I’m about to turn 30. I really want to make an effort to meet someone. I’d never used a dating app before, so I set up a few dates the following week and a few the following week, just in case you didn’t know.
He may not have appeared on any of my previous shows, but fortunately he did. Then I canceled the other dates. Although Jack has said things like, “I’m not going anywhere,” I was a bit pessimistic about love in general.
The pair anticipated moving closer to buying their first home together this year, in London, after almost becoming inseparable over the course of the following months. However, in light of the positive news, they decided Essex would be the best option to move Georgia closer to her mother. We were trying to figure out where we wanted to be, together, because we were essentially living out of suitcases. This was getting a little stressful.
She continues: “I had just put my flat on the market, but as soon as I learned I was pregnant, I knew I needed to be in Essex, at least for a while. Georgia’s mother, Nicola Harrison, said, “After telling Jack, Georgia’s mother, Nicola Harrison, was the one who got the good news,” and Georgia claims that her reaction was emotional given what she has been through with her daughter.
Mum watched me through every step of it. She’s always assured me that everything would go smoothly and that my happy ending would be met with someone.
“So I find it wonderful for her to see me at this point.” This is an amazing positive phase of her life, just like she once said, because you can only be happy with your happy child as a parent.
Georgia’s most recent TV work included the hard-hitting two-parter Georgia Harrison: Porn, Power, Profit, which explored the occasionally gloomy worlds of deepfake porn and revenge. Georgia claims that she has even greater drive now that she is expecting and that making changes will benefit more people, particularly women and girls, from going through what she’s been through.
When I was campaigning, I initially considered my younger sisters and brother in hopes that they would change their situation. I’m bringing my own child into the world because I now have this whole new drive.
