Gary Beadle, a former Geordie Shore star, was called “out of touch” and “disrespectful” after questioning Centre Parcs as “cheap and tacky.”
Gary Beadle has sparked backlash after questioning whether Centre Parcs is “cheap and tacky” during his first visit to the UK holiday spot.
The Geordie Shore star, 37, who has made millions from the MTV reality show, took his two children, Chester and Primrose, on a short three-day trip with girlfriend Maia Ellen.
Known for his jet-setting lifestyle, Gaz appeared to question the quality of the resort in an Instagram post, asking if it was going to be “cheap and tacky”. However, he later edited the comment out following huge backlash from his followers.
Reality TV’s post quickly received the attention of a horde of angry social media users who had gathered to criticize him for being “out of touch” and “disrespectful.”

“Cheap and tacky,” a frustrated user wrote. What a little ding you have, really. You’re degrading it while celebrating a wonderful holiday for some. Remember where you are from, and how fortunate you are to have a source of ‘so-called fame’.
Another person blasted the phrase “Fame really does go to people’s heads, and it’s very sad to watch in real-time.”
“Sutes of families work so hard to get their kids off for a few days, saving money all year long to be able to go to Centre Parcs,” says one family. Whereas you drank yourself silly, sat in front of a flock of birds, and now believe you’re better than everyone else? Gary, grab your grip.
Some claimed that the TV star had a bad eye for the holiday setting. One person questioned, “Oh, you literally believe you’re better than everyone else, no? ” Idiot. “
While another advised: “Gaz, you should probably think a bit more before you go posting something like this, in this economy, in the world we live in today.”
Despite the controversy, Gaz openly acknowledged that activities can add up quickly because they are expensive, saying, “Don’t overbook them, maybe 1/2 a day plus swimming.”
He also provided some helpful advice for potential travelers, such as “Take your own bikes if possible, a big shop, and eat in your cabin; some places can be expensive and it’s nice to have a rest in the cabin.” We occasionally went out to eat, but maybe one day we’ll do that and just chill out.
He warned against being cautious with things like pottery where you have to pay to do it, and then buy your pottery with four people and suddenly have to put up £100 down.
His first public relationship since splitting from his two children, Emma McVey, led to the publication of images from the trip.
