Gemma Collins, the star of “Celebs Go Dating,” reveals the frequent phone calls she makes with the TOWIE team in an effort to make her a returning cast member.
Gemma Collins has become a regular face on reality TV shows since she first appeared on The Only Way Is Essex back in 2011. Now 44 and engaged to businessman Rami Hawash, the Essex-bon TV personality has racked up appearances on I’m A Celebrity, Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing on Ice and Celebs Go Dating, to name a few, as well as her own Gemma Collins: Diva series.
Fans will see her make a second appearance on television in what she refers to as “two major” new shows, and she has already begun working on more projects for 2027. “So I’m already back in a significant way. Next year, I’ll already be smashed out. I’m in 2027, a year and a half ahead of schedule. I have the ability to make up my mind as to what I want to do right now. I’ll only be performing in “where I think it’ll be fun” shows.

Gemma acknowledges there have been frequent phone calls with producers about a potential GC return, but claims the ship has sailed for her now that other original TOWIE cast members have returned, along with Amy Childs and Lauren Goodger.
She said, “The TOWIE team ring me all the time. Look, I really enjoyed the show, and that’s what inspired me. We all move on in life, but that’s the show that gave me my gorgeous home. And I’ve left now.
Gemma is also getting ready for a big wedding the following year, Rami, who proposed in February of last year.
Gemma claims to have found the ideal balance between her personal life and work, including being Rami’s devoted stepmum Tristan, who is seven years old.
She said, “These days, I can combine my family and my career.” “I’ve just enjoyed being a stepmum and a normal girl for a while because I’ve not had that for so long.” Now, everything has come full circle.
Because I was so focused on my career, I delayed starting a family for so long. Then my family intervened, and I now have Rami. It’s a life experience, and I’ve chosen that path from my life.
She continued, “Now I’m ready to come back and I can give people the real, authentic me, not a fake person,” and that she was ready to do the same.
Gemma claims she has every intention of contributing some help to Rami and her big day, adding, “I’ll have a wedding planner. They will handle it. I’ll just say, “Yes, no, yes, no, yes, no”. That is it. But I’m actually very excited, which I am.
