At the European Gymnastics Championships in Leipzig, Great Britain’s Luke Whitehouse won floor gold for the third consecutive year.

The 22-year-old finished ahead of teammate Harry Hepworth, who won his first individual European medal with a score of 14.366.

Lorenzo Casali, from Italy, came in third.

Whitehouse told BBC Sport, “It is unbelievable.” I can’t come up with words. I was aware that it was possible, but I had no idea how brave I was to do it.

Following their victory in team gold on Monday, Whitehouse and Hepworth are now taking home the second medal of the competition.
