GB’s Weston and Wyatt win world cup gold and silver

Matt Weston of Great Britain won the gold medal in Sigulda, Latvia, while Marcus Wyatt of compatriots came in second.

Wyatt’s silver medal on Friday marked his first individual victory of the campaign, while the 28-year-old has won the first three races of the 2025-26 season.

Wyatt came in 0.85 seconds behind Weston, who completed the task in a total of one minute 40.35 seconds. Germany’s Felix Keisinger finished the podium just 0.03 seconds after the silver medalist.

With his victory, Zheng Yin of China is now 107 points clear of him at the top of the World Cup standings. Yin is currently 62 points clear of Wyatt in sixth place.
