In the Billie Jean King Cup Finals qualifying round, Great Britain was dragged away to Australia.
The tie will break on April 10 and 11.
The USA, who are in a tie with Belgium in the opening match of the campaign, defeated Britain 2-0 in the semi-finals last year.
The USA is second, followed by the United Kingdom in third place.
Each of the seven ties features 14 teams in the qualifying round, with each match being two singles matches on day one and two doubles matches and two reverse singles matches on day two.
In Shenzhen’s week beginning September 21st, the seven winners and hosts China will take part in the finals.
