Garnacho Arrives At Chelsea As £40m Move From Man United Moves Closer

Enzo Maresca, the Blues manager, announced Friday that Alejandro Garnacho had arrived at Chelsea’s training facility ahead of his alleged $40 million ($54 million) departure from Manchester United.

The two Premier League clubs reportedly reached a deal on Thursday, with Ruben Amorim no longer required to play for Old Trafford.

Garnacho was on Friday to get checked out and finalize terms at Chelsea’s training facility in Cobham, southwest of London.

Chelsea manager Maresca told reporters, “I know he is around here.” “I’m not certain where exactly.”

When Maresca inquired about the United Academy graduate’s potential placement with his team, Maresca said, “He’s a winger. He strikes me as a “winger.”

Before Monday’s summer transfer window deadline, the Italian would not rule out the possibility of more arrivals and departures.

The transfer window is open, and anything can happen inside and outside, he said.

Additionally, Maresca confirmed that Cole Palmer will miss Saturday’s game against West Ham rival Fulham in West London due to a groin injury that forced him to miss the game.

Due to their respective injury issues, Romeo Lavia and Benoit Badiashile are both still sidelined.

“Cole, we need to see every day,” Maresca said, adding that Roma and Benoit “will be closer to being back after the international break, but they will be,”

“Lavia) didn’t play any games for two years. He participated in some games last year. This season, the goal is to give him more games. When will he be back, I’m not sure.

We must find new solutions when Cole isn’t playing. We can do it, hopefully, tomorrow.

Following a 5-1 win over West Ham and a goalless draw with Crystal Palace, Chelsea are now fourth in the table.
