Sara Davies was full of praise for her pal Adam Peaty’s dreamy wedding – and it must have stung for the Peaty family members who were uninvited to his big day
Dragon’s Den favourite Sara Davies has delivered what’s bound to be another blow to Adam Peaty’s estranged family, publicly hailing his winter nuptials to Holly Ramsay as the “best of the century”.
The 41-year-old, who is currently fronting new ITV quiz show Time Is Money, appeared on This Morning to talk about her new gig – as well as her business ventures with Olympic swimming star Adam, 31, who she struck up a close friendship with during their respective Strictly 2021 stints.
Sara, who is an investor in Adam’s business, competitive swimming organisation AP Race, received a coveted invite to his and 26-year-old Holly’s wedding in Bath – and she swiftly took the opportunity to gush about it on-air.

Though it was swathed in controversy, with Adam’s entire family snubbed on the Big Day, except his sister Bethany, Sara ignored the drama as she enthused about their special day, dubbing it the ‘wedding of the century.’
Chatting to This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, she revealed: ‘It was fabulous. Lots of people don’t realise Adam and I became such good friends doing Strictly.
‘Because he just started his business, he was very early on in that journey and we would go for long walks and I’d give him lots of business advice and support.”
She added: “Then, I’ve been on his board, I’ve invested in his business for a couple of years, so I got the invite to the wedding and it was the wedding of the century.”
Asked what ‘the food was like’, Sara continued: ‘It was insane, it was Gordon’s famous beef wellington, and it was the best, the best wedding food I’ve ever had.
‘I was trying everything, every canapé that came out, it was insane – and I was up with Adam on the dance floor at the end of the night, busting out the moves.’
The TV star was just one of the many famous that pitched at the much-anticipated wedding on December 27, including David and Victoria Beckham, chefs Marcus Wareing & Angela Hartnett, TV presenter Dan Walker and of course, Holly’s dad Gordon.
Sarah’s adoring words were no doubt lovely for the new husband-and-wife to hear – but they must have felt like salt in the wound for the likes of Adam’s mum, Caroline, who is thought to be devastated at her estrangement from her Olympian son.
Caroline was nowhere to be seen as her son married Holly at Bath Abbey, followed by a exclusive Kin House – amid a bitter fallout which saw her uninvited.
And on the day, chef Gordon made some controversial comments during his reportedly ‘fiery’ father-of-the bride speech, when according to the Sun, he commented on how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a ‘lucky man’, adding: ‘Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.’
The publication went on to claim that Gordon then got in a sly dig at Adam’s parents, telling his daughter Holly: ‘Shame you don’t have the same.” It was later revealed that Caroline had been left ‘outraged’ at Gordon’s comments during the speech – and had called Gordon’s swipe ‘pre-planned’ and ‘cruel’.
But Gordon was having none of it, saying during his own recent appearance on This Morning, alongside Holly’s younger sister Tilly, that his speech was ‘perfect and warm’.
Gordon said: “It’s tough, honestly. Being the dad with three daughters, you dream of that moment and that moment arrives and you’re just like a hot mess.
“But, the speech was perfect, it went well and you’ve got to find that… You’ve got to be warm, emotional… It’s a tough gig.”
