Fans told Freddy Brazier, Jade Goody’s son, to be “proud” after he admitted to having mental and physical health issues in an effort to inspire others to seek out help.
Freddy Brazier, the son of Jeff Brazier and the late Jade Goody, has bravely opened up about his mental health struggles. The TV star also gave advice for those struggling with epilepsy as he does, and was “happy to get on board” by making a video to raise awareness of the issues.
In the TikTok video – filmed before his dad Jeff launched a legal proceedings to stop Freddy seeing his grandmother Jackiey Budden – Freddy, 20, filmed himself at home as he spoke to the camera on behalf of an epilepsy awareness account. “I’m Freddy Brazier,” he began.
“Some might know me for my harsh mother Jade Goody, the Big Brother star some would say. Or my father Jeff Brazier the TV presenter, known for multiple things – couldn’t tell you,” Freddy said while laughing.
He then referred to the BBC show he’d done with his dad, exclaiming: “And if you’ve watched Race Across the World you might also know me from there! The absolute legend from Race Across the World.”
Freddy’s tone quickly changed as he discussed some of his more pressing problems. He continued, “Just coming on to say that seizures, like any other illness, shouldn’t be made a joke or a joke.”
He then made the statement, “I myself have bipolar disorder and severe mental health issues.” And it’s bad when others criticize you or criticize you for it.
As the young man finished the video, the young man grinned and said, “View this account for more information about seizures and whatever else. Hope it is helpful.
The account holder revealed in the video’s comment that he was “happy” to help and that Freddy “offered to do the video right away.”
Many fans were equally impressed with his honesty while talking about his mental health and epilepsy. “You are a star, you are helping so many for talking out,” one person said, with another adding: “You are a voice for all young men keep up the good work.”
A third person praised, “Well done for speaking out mate.” Another fan wrote, “Be proud of yourself for opening up and helping young people or anyone else really.”
According to reports, Freddy’s father Jeff plans to file a lawsuit to stop him from seeing Jackiey Budden, his maternal grandmother, because he worries about the negative effects the couple have had on his well-being. With the birth of two sons, Bobby, 21, and Freddy, 20, Jackiey Budden and Feddy’s father Jeff, who had been dating Jade for two years, have a strained relationship.
However, it was claimed in recent days that Jeff had consulted with lawyers to stop the young model and TV star from seeing Jackiey. Jackiey responded to the reports by saying, “I know what this is all about.” She continued, “It doesn’t matter (the circumstance with Jeff) does.” It makes no difference.
In an effort to protect Freddy’s welfare, Jeff, the father of Jade’s two children, is attempting to stop contact between the model Freddy and his nan Jackiey, 68, 16 years after his tragic death from cervical cancer at the age of 27 from concerns for his siblings Bobby and Bobby, the star of EastEnders, in legal action.
Prior to revealing his diagnoses with bipolar disorder and epilepsy, Freddy spoke about how he’d coped after being diagnosed with ADHD when he was just 10.
He acknowledged that he had no intention of disrupting his studies and that it was difficult to concentrate at school. “I don’t believe I was bad, but I wasn’t good,” Freddy said in a nutshell.
Dad Jeff then took over and praised Fred for “being amazing in his lifetime” by praising him directly to the camera.
