Four years after the ceremony was postponed, First Dates star Fred Sirieix tied the knot with his wife in a private ceremony in Jamaica last year.

First Dates star Fred Sirieix said “I don’t want to talk” as he made an honest marriage admission. Fred, 53, tied the knot with his wife, who he affectionately calls Fruitcake during a ceremony in Jamaica last year.

Given that Fred and his partner chose to keep her real name and profession a secret, little is known about her. However, they previously disclosed that they ended a relationship in 2018.

The much-loved maître popped the question in 2020 and the pair were set to walk down the aisle a year later. However the Covid pandemic meant that their wedding celebrations had to be delayed until last year.

In Negril, Jamaica, their private wedding was eventually held at the opulent villa Pattoo Castle. Frenchman Fred admits it’s been “fun” and says he’s enjoying his marriage.

He claims in a conversation with Woman magazine that he also finds himself “juggling” being both a person and a couple. He asserted, “You are still an individual as long as you are with someone.”

Some days, I just don’t want to talk or do anything. It just means that you are with someone else, not that you don’t want to be with them; you are just being yourself.

You constantly struggle to balance being an individual and a couple.

Fred and Fruitcake have previously stated that they only enjoy eating a romantic meal together and sitting down together. He said, “I have many go-to meals that I love cooking, and I really enjoy discovering and trying out new recipes,” before their wedding in 2024.

However, Spaghetti Bolognese is my go-to mid-week dish. My fiancee adores the rich flavor of the meal because it’s so satisfying.

“Just the other day, I challenged my partner to guess the different ingredients I had used for dinner.” It was a fun game to play, especially since I’m constantly trying new recipes, and it encourages more lively and enjoyable dinner-time conversations.

Fred joined First Dates in 2013 to become famous. Singletons make their first appearances in the series, and they decide whether to see each other again after dinner.

After spending 13 years introducing daters to each other as well as navigating his own love life, Fred says there is one habit that initially puts him off someone. Speaking to the Mirror, he added: “Before finding my lovely fiancée, the thing I couldn’t stand whilst on a date was when people use their phones at the dinner table.

Meal-time is not just about eating; it is also about the entire dining experience. When you’re on a date, leaving your phone at home allows you to give it your full attention and really get to know the other person.
