Fiorentina’s Kean in hospital after collapsing on pitch

Moise Kean, a Fiorentina striker, collided on the pitch and was taken to the hospital after suffering a head injury at Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at Hellas Verona.
The former Everton, Paris St-Germain and Juventus forward’s face collided with Pawel Dawidowicz’s knee as he fell while battling for the ball in the 58th minute.
Kean, 24, continued playing after receiving treatment before losing his balance and falling to the ground in the 64th minute. Before the Serie A match was suspended, players from both teams alerted doctors.
The top-flight Italian striker, who has 15 goals this season, was seen wearing a neck brace and taken to the hospital.
“Moise Kean, during the match against Verona, suffered a head trauma. ]He] is in hospital for tests”, Fiorentina said.
In stoppage time, Hellas Verona midfielder Antoine Bernede scored the game’s only goal in the fifth minute when play resumed.
Edoardo Bove, a midfielder for Fiorentina, collapsed on the pitch in December during a game against Inter Milan, which caused the game to be postponed.
