
Following a loud explosion at the General Hospital in Bagudo on Tuesday, the Kebbi State Police Command has assured residents that security has been managed.
The police PR officer, SP Bashir Usman, signed a statement that contained the assurance.
Shortly after the incident, a joint security team made up of members of the Nigerian Police Force, the military, and local vigilante organizations to quickly cordone off and secure the affected area.
To conduct a thorough analysis of the scene, EOD-CBRN specialists from Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (EOD-CBRN) were also on hand.

No injuries were reported in the incident, according to the command. Although a hospital’s staff quarters building suffered damage, the area’s occupants had reportedly stayed put prior to the explosion.
The Kebbi State police commissioner has mandated additional tactical deployments to keep the public safe and order.
The cause of the explosion has also been the subject of a thorough investigation.
To allow security personnel to carry out their operations without interruption, residents are advised to stay calm and stay away from the hospital’s immediate vicinity.
