Andy Carroll, a former striker for England, Newcastle United, Liverpool, and the United States, is scheduled to show up in court on Tuesday after being accused of breaking a non-molestation order.
Carroll, 36, is currently a member of National League South side Dagenham and Redbridge. The alleged offence was said to have occurred a month earlier.
The 36-year-old is scheduled to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on a charge of appearing at the age of 35. He has nine caps for England and was signed by Liverpool in 2011 for a then-club record sum of £35m.
A man has been accused of breaking a non-molestation order, according to Essex Police. The alleged offences relate to a March incident, and Andrew Carroll, 36, of Epping, was detained on April 27. On December 30th, he will appear in Chelmsford magistrates’ court.
A court order that forbids someone from speaking to another person is known as a non-molestation order. It also might forbid someone from traveling a certain distance from a particular address or place of employment.
