“I had to do something today because everyone was caning me yesterday because he’s better than me.”

Senior brother Jude gave Real Madrid an early lead with a strike the day after Jobe Bellingham scored his first goal for Borussia Dortmund at the Club World Cup.

When Real faced Mexican side Pachuca, who had just 10 men, Bellingham, known as Jude, managed to break the deadlock by controlling a pass, darting into the box, and delivering a shot into the far corner.

Real’s nervy team won 3-1 to give Xabi Alonso his first victory under his new leadership, and the result was a nervy Real.

The Bellingham brothers have scored in the same competition for the first time. For the first time, two siblings have scored in the same Club World Cup.

In fact, siblings have never participated in the same Club World Cup.

The pair could face off as early as the competition’s quarter-final stage’s quarter-final stage, with a combined value of £164 million according to TransferMarkt.com, which is the highest total of any pair of brothers currently playing.

If Real Madrid and Dortmund advance in their groups and advance past their last-16 matches, that will happen.

Jude Bellingham is already keeping his own personal score, regardless of whether the two end up facing each other.

The England midfielder joked to DAZN, “We’re now 1-1 and we’ll see for the rest of the tournament.”

After the tournament, Bellingham also confirmed that he will have shoulder surgery to treat it.

The 21-year-old, who has managed the condition since 2023, said: “I’ve reached the point where the pain isn’t so bad, but I was sick of playing with the sling.

Can Alonso maximize his Bellingham benefits?

Xabi Alonso’s new manager has a tactical conundrum, according to Jude Bellingham.

In his first season with Real Madrid, he was fantastic, scoring 23 goals in 42 games and leading Real Madrid to the 2023-24 La Liga and Champions League titles.

In 53 games, Real failed to capture a significant trophy, and he was forced to play deeper and wider to accommodate Kylian Mbappe, who only managed 14 strikes.

Alonso claimed at the unveiling of his new role as Real manager that he preferred Bellingham to play central midfield, which is where he started against Pachuca on Sunday in the center-left position.

However, when Raul Asencio was shown the yellow card after seven minutes, Madrid switched to a 4-4-1 system with Bellingham playing from a deep and playing even more centrally.

Bellingham made a late run into the box after the tactics were changed during a first-half beverage break, picked up the ball from Fran Garcia, and fired a shot into the bottom corner.

The 10-man team’s first significant attack completely altered the course of the game.

Bellingham is phenomenal when he enters from deep. Former Italian striker Christian Vieri told DAZN, “That is an amazing goal, and that is where he plays best.”

Alonso must find a way to make them play because he is the coach. Before Mbappe arrived, Bellingham had already scored so many goals.

Alonso will be having sleepless nights because it is not our problem.

Jon-Obi Mikel, an ex-Chelsea midfielder, said: “When Bellingham is best, when he arrives late from midfield.

Jude can play that role because he has the willpower and energy to do so, and he can be very special in it.

All of Alonso’s stars will be content, which was one of his biggest issues this season and one that Carlo Ancelotti struggled to resolve.

The problem Xabi Alonso will have is that big players want to play in their best positions, Mikel said, and you have to play the players in those positions.

Where should we play Mbappe because they know he wants to play on the left but Vinicius Jr., one of the best players, wants to play him? He dislikes playing middle-of-the-road.

Despite signings, defensive frailties.

Last season, Real Madrid struggled defensively, as evidenced by their £50 million acquisition of Bournemouth centre-back Dean Huijsen and their signing of right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool.

However, the issues are still present in the early stages.

Real were fortunate not to fall behind against their Mexican foes after drawing 1-1 with Al-Hilal in the opening match of the tournament.

Real Madrid has faced 25 shots in a 90-minute contest for the first time since 2014, which is the most they have allowed in a game. In Alonso’s first two games in charge, he faced 38 shots.

Salomon Rondon, 35, was a former Everton striker before Asencio cuffed him for the opening red card, and they struggled to deal with him at times.

With Asencio gone, Aurelien Tchouameni, a midfielder by trade, Aurelien Tchouameni eventually switched to center-back, with goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois recording ten saves in the final 90 minutes.

After making the error that gave Al-Hilal the equalizer a few days prior, Asencio’s Club World Cup is turning into a nightmare.

Raul Asencio needs to learn from his experiences because he is young and ready to talk, Alonso said.

We’re thrilled that Thibaut has the goal. When we needed one player more defensively, he is so reliable, but we made a lot of sacrifices and patiently waited for our opportunities.

Alexander-Arnold played a steady game once more, contributing to Real’s second goal, but he occasionally lost his position, including when Pachuca broke from his corner kick.

He won two of his four duels, making it the most of any Real player’s three crosses.

Vieri, a former Juventus and Lazio striker, praised the England full back.

Everyone will think Real have the best player in the world in two months because Trent is one of the best, he said.

They want to see you attack, not defend, according to Real Madrid.
