Escape to the Chateau stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge have shared some major career news following their sudden show axe.
The cherished couple shot to fame on their popular Channel 4 series back in 2016. The show followed the pair renovating the chateau that they purchased for £280,000 in 2015 as they turned it into a luxury wedding venue, now worth £2million.
However, the programme came to an end in 2023 after a reported behind-the-scenes fallout, which involved bullying allegations.
Following an investigation into how they behaved while filming, the network announced it would no longer collaborate with Angel and Dick on any upcoming productions. The allegations made against them have always been refuted by Dick and Angel.
But now, the couple have shared some major career news with fans, confirming they are back recording their podcast. On their Instagram, Dick and Angel announced the news.
They wrote. “Hello to you this Wonderful Wednesday! After a little break from the world of podcasting, we’re back in the ‘Chateau Studio’ tomorrow recording and filming our brand-new podcast!
You requested more of us, so we are now filming the entire episode, yes, that’s right! We can’t lie; it feels like we’re on a date with you and each other.
If you haven’t seen any of our previous shows, you know there’s always room for questions and we’re resuming the floor. So leave a question in the comments section below if you have one for either of us on any subject (cough). Have a wonderful day, everyone, we can’t wait to hear from you”!
