Entire families wiped out as Israel bombards Gaza’s residential areas

Israel’s recent wave of attacks on Gaza, which left at least 404 people dead and 562 wounded, awakened Palestinians there.

The fragile ceasefire agreement Israel had with Hamas was also shattered by the attacks on Tuesday, which also shattered a period of relative calm in Gaza during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Palestinians who had returned to their ruined and damaged homes after the ceasefire were also at risk from Israel’s relentless bombing, whose entire families were wiped out in a matter of seconds.

According to Momen Qoreiqeh, who lost 26 of his family members in the attacks, “we were shocked late at night to see strikes and attacks on Gaza like in the early days of the war.”

“Until I was with my family, a massive attack occurred on our residential block. Many members of my family were killed in the attack, and some of them are still unaccounted for.

The initial hours of the Israeli attacks, which were witnessed at the hospitals, were heightened by Ahmed Abu Rizq’s teacher, who described the scene of the initial panic and horror.

“We awoke terrified after hearing Israeli strikes in Gaza every day. You will see blood everywhere if you’re now in one of Gaza’s hospitals, according to Abu Rizq, who added that he had seen families arriving at the hospital with the “remains of their children” in hand.

Hani Mahmoud, a journalist from Gaza City, claimed that Israel’s strikes had once more “killed” the area.

The number of hospital admissions for large casualties in Gaza City is “overwhelming,” according to Mahmoud. We’ve seen entire families [killed] here, including a family of 26, with women, children, and the elderly, according to &nbsp. Here, a mother can be seen crying over her two daughters’ bodies.

The attacks of last night demonstrate once more that Gaza is not a safe place. People had assumed the ceasefire would lead to safety, but that was not the case when they had returned to bombed homes and evacuation centers. They were actually killed in these exact locations.

According to Muhammad Abu Salmiya, the director of al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, “every minute a wounded person dies due to a lack of resources.”

According to Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary, who was reporting from Deir el-Balah in the heart of Gaza, the Health Ministry was requesting “urgent blood donations” due to “severe shortages” of supplies.

She said that hospitals also lack the basic medical supplies, such as gauze and painkillers, that they need to treat the wounded.

Israel’s ban on aid trucks, which have been unable to enter the country for more than two weeks, has made existing hospital shortages worse.

Doctors claim that this is a significant challenge, according to Khoudary. Additionally, there is a fuel shortage that could cause the collapse of all medical facilities.

“People were hoping that no airstrikes would occur during the final days of Ramadan,” the author said. Numerous people are missing and stranded beneath the rubble. Parents are afraid, and parents are desperate.
