After jumping for an aerial challenge, she appeared to land on her neck, and the field was taken away on a stretcher.
Enderby’s injury largely contributed to the 22 minutes of stoppage time that ended the game.
Enderby, age 20, started against Tottenham and has played in all six of Liverpool’s Women’s Super League games this year.
Manager Gareth Taylor claimed he had not spoken to the club’s medical department after the game and that the injury was “not nice to see” despite the manager’s statement in his post-game press conference.
Enderby, who made 42 appearances and scored six goals for Sheffield United during her first two seasons, signed a new two-year deal in the summer.
Taylor hoped that she would be okay, she added. “At one point, I believed she would re-enter and start playing again, but it’s really important that we take care of them because those kinds of injuries happen.”
Marie Hobinger and Sophie Roman Haug, both of whom suffered anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries before the international break, are already out.
