For more than 20 years, Zoe Henry has been wed to Jeff Hordley, her Emmerdale co-star.
Emmerdale star Zoe Henry previously opened up about husband Jeff Hordley’s “life-changing” health diagnosis.
The actress plays Rhona Goskirk on the ITV soap, making her debut in 2001. However, it wasn’t until 2010 that she became a permanent fixture on the show.
Since then, Zoe’s been involved in several big storylines. Especially at the moment as in Tuesday’s episode (January 20) she came face-to-face with Graham Foster (Andrew Scarborough) who was supposedly killed off in 2020.
Away from the soap, Zoe is married to fellow Emmerdale star Jeff Hordley, who plays Cain Dingle. The pair tied the knot in 2003 and share two children.
However, the couple’s romance has faced a number of challenges, including Jeff’s diagnosis of Crohn’s disease, an inflammatory digestive condition.
Since being 18 years old, Jeff has spent time in the hospital with his condition. He was later diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. Before his diagnosis, he had been having diarrhea and stomach cramps for six years.
In 2019, Zoe opened up about her husband’s condition and heartbreakingly revealed that the diagnosis has changed their lives. Speaking on Loose Women, Zoe said: “He was diagnosed when he was about 18, so he was 23 when I met him, and it’s sort of changed our lives.”
However, Zoe revealed their allotment, which helps Jeff cope with living with Crohn’s disease. There is a lot to be said about mental health and getting your hands in the soil, she said.
It’s the health advantages of eating what we’ve grown, “for Jeff.” It’s fantastic to share with my kids as well. They detest it, not that they love it. But I’m working on that!
