After keeping the arrival of her child a secret, an Emmerdale star revealed that she had welcomed her first child. Georgia Jay kept the youngster’s birth secret and only revealed that he had been born in a sweet new year’s post.
The actress, who plays Steph Miligan on the ITV soap, first revealed her pregnancy at the beginning of June 2025. And now she’s confirmed that the child was born in the same month.
Georgia shared a sweet black and white photo of herself holding her brand-new baby girl. She sweetly mentioned her name in the caption, “Nora June 2025.”
Friends and fans overwhelmingly praised the actress. Beth Cordingly, a former Emmerdale actor, once said, “She is perfect, and she is.” Laura Norton, a Kerry Wyatt actress, wrote, “Yay congrats gorgeous.
One person commented, “Congrats on the name, what a beautiful name,” while another, “Beautiful and beautiful name too!” “Congratulations!”
She made the announcement in June after flaunting her bump and revealing her pregnancy. After weeks of speculation from fans, she announced her pregnancy in a post that was shared on social media.
She also mentioned that she had a professional photo of her showing her growing baby bump and that she had “some news to share” (as you’ve probably guessed). Some of you may have been wondering if there has been a minor bump on television lately, but that’s not my imagination… I’m expecting a child! Never have we been so excited or nervous at once. Georgia, the daughter of Caleb and Ruby, made her Emmerdale debut last year. She discovered that her grandfather, Anthony Fox, was actually her father after he abused Steph’s mother when she was a teenager, which was one of her intense storylines.
Steph then sought cosmetic surgery to alter how much she looked so she wouldn’t resemble the abuse she had endured. Ruby also assassinated Anthony, but the circumstances were unknown.
Georgia grew excited about taking maternity leave and anticipating a future return to her position in August.
