Elephants Kill Logger In Ogun

A logger, known as Musa Kalamu, was killed while cutting trees in the forest, according to reports from one of the Ogun State government’s reserved forests in Onitasin Imidi in Ijebu East Local Government Area.

The development has been confirmed by Taiwo Oludotun, the Forestry Commissioner. He said, “Yes, we are aware, and we are already on our way to the community.”

In a Whatsapp message to our correspondent on Tuesday, Lanre Ogunlowo, the state’s police commissioner, also confirmed the incident.

On July 28, 2022, the Divisional Police Officer Ogbere learned from the Itasin community that one Musa Kalamu had fled from a government reserve and had attacked him. He passed away on the way to the hospital.

Ogun State Forestry officials were contacted to protect the animals from additional harm. The community is now welcoming calm back.

The middle-aged man Kala, who was reportedly attacked by the ravaging&nbsp elephants, was captured on a disturbing viral video on Tuesday.
