Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has received calls to delete her post after she shared a clip from inside a plane just hours after 241 people died in the Air India crash

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu has been urged to delete her social media post following the tragic Air India crash. The Love Island star, 30, shared a video to her Instagram story hours after it was confirmed that 241 of the 242 people on board sadly died in the horrifying crash near Ahmedabad Airport in western India.

She shared a short clip from inside a plane as she filmed herself looking into the camera. Ekin-Su shook her head and let out a yelp as she wrote over the video: “I hate HATE turbulence!”

Her fans urged her to remove the post from her social media as one said: “Girl you need to delete your recent story asap.” It comes after both TOWIE’s Mark Wright and McFly star Tom Fletcher both deleted posts and issued apologies following the crash.

Mark and his wife Michelle Keegan had been sharing content on Instagram from their holiday to Spain lately with three-month-old baby Palma. The reality star shared a photo of the trio in front of a private jet at an airport where he teased over having limited leg room on standard flights in the post.

He had written: “1 day babe, for now we’ll take row 26 with no extra leg room.” After being hit with backlash, he has since apologised for the “mistake,” telling fans that he had scheduled the post, which has now been deleted, in advance. He said it had been a “horrendous coincidence”.

Mark wrote: “I apologise for a post I just put up on my page after today’s heartbreaking events. I have posts from a holiday that are on the scheduled setting, which go out on future days I have set them for, which was done last week.”

The dad-of-one continued the statement by saying that it was a “coincidence” that it had gone out on the same day as the Air India crash. He told fans that as soon as he realised what had happened, he “immediately” deleted the post.

“It’s a horrendous coincidence that today’s post was on such a devastating day. Once I logged in to my Instagram and realised the post had gone out, I immediately deleted [it],” he said.

The former TOWIE star concluded by expressing sympathy with anyone affected by the plane crash. He wrote: “My heart goes out to everyone who has been effected from today. I’m sorry for this mistake and any offence caused.”

Meanwhile, McFly’s Tom issued an apology after he had shared a post about planes to his Instagram story before later deleting it after reading the news. He wrote: “Sorry, I’ve only just seen the terrible news about the Air India crash.”

In a post to apologise on Instagram, he added: “So awful. Had I known earlier, I obviously wouldn’t have posted about my flight today. I understand why that much have looked insensitive and have deleted it. Thanks for letting me know. My whole heart goes out to everyone involved in the crash and all their friends & families.”
