Caio Borralho has always known that he stands out from the majority of fighters.

The 32-year-old Brazilian is “good with numbers” and taught mathematics and chemistry as a teenager.

Albert Einstein’s mural adorns the main training area at his Sao Paulo gym.

Muhammad Ali, Bruce Lee, Anderson Silva, and Minotauro Nogueira are just a few of the famous fighters who fight alongside Einstein, but Borralho’s story is largely based on Einstein.

Borralho has recently started playing a lot of poker and has won more than 1, 000 chess matches online.

The Brazilian’s interest is typically piqued by a subject, person, or game that is based on problem-solving.

“It’s because it’s about mind games,” she said. And it depicts fighting in the same way, Boralho tells BBC Sport.

“How to read people, how to play with the mind, and how to observe patterns and triggers. They resemble each other very much, in my opinion.

In the Saturday main event of UFC Paris, Boralho takes on French middleweight Nassourdine Imavov.

Borralho and his coaching staff will be sporting their signature white plastic lenses with white tape during fight week.

Borralho used to be bullied for his “nerdy” interests, which he referred to as “nerdy,” so he started the Fighting Nerds with his coach Pablo Sucupira in response.

We, to be clear, “wishes to represent love and courage.” Borralho stated that we want to inspire others to be themselves.

“Imagine a nerd who is subject to bullying and animosity. They watch a man who calls himself a nerd and kicks ass in the UFC, which sends a strong message to them.

Because I am aware of how difficult it is to be on the other side, I know this is undoubtedly something very important to me.

Borralho, who has won his first seven fights in the UFC, claims that his team’s brand received a lot of positive feedback.

Borralho said, “My son hated to wear glasses because everyone was making fun of him, and right now, after seeing you guys, he loves to wear them,” and I’ve had many parents say that.

I want to be the most intelligent fighter in UFC history.

Borralho’s team-mate Mauricio Ruffy takes on Benoit Saint-Denis in Paris’ co-main event, and the Fighting Nerds are doing just that.

Ruffy has won his first three fights and defeated Bobby Green in March with a spectacular spinning wheel kick, just like Borralho, in a never-beaten start to his UFC career.

Meanwhile, Carlos Prates, who defeated Geoff Neal last month, is generating much fanfare. In November, he squares off against British spy Leon Edwards.

Borralho claims that intelligence and strategic planning contribute to their success rather than physicality.

Borralho said, “I believe it’s the most crucial factor: your fight intelligence, your intelligence, and your ability to keep your tactics going even in precarious and stressful circumstances.”

People typically perceive physical things as being present in this game, but what they don’t typically understand is how the mind functions in this game, and that’s a lot.

Borralho points to a victory over Paul Craig in May when he waited for the Scotsman to regain his balance rather than squat with him on the ground.

Borralho said, “I know I have good jiu-jitsu to trade with him, but I was smart enough to make him stand up and knock him out.”

Because I knew that was the best course of action, not because of ego. I did it then.

Borralho could take the middleweight title fight against Khamzat Chimaev if they defeat Imavov.

Borralho wants to write his name into UFC history books despite having a shot at winning the title.

Borralho declared, “I want to be the most intelligent fighter in UFC history.”
