He continued his performance with the classics Shivers, A-Team, Don’t, Old Phone, and Photograph before opening with Castle on the Hill.

The BBC was anticipating the huge turnout of Ed on the BBC New Music stage, according to a source at Big Weekend. As the Red Head took to the stage, the audience was enthralled.
However, due to unrestrained demand, the crowd was locked down just moments after he took to the stage, which meant nobody else could enter until after his set.

Greg James, a star of BBC Radio 1, describes the secret set as “the best surprise we could have produced.” And it turns out that festivalgoers were in agreement because Ed’s set was so packed that it was locked down.
