‘Easy work’ – Pimblett makes weight for Gaethje fight

Paddy Pimblett’s interim UFC lightweight title fight on Saturday in Las Vegas allowed him to gain weight quickly.

At Friday morning’s official weigh-in, The Liverpudlian was the first to reach the scales, weighing 154 pounds (11 oz).

Before crashing out of the stage, Pimblett, 31, said “easy work.”

Justin Gaethje, who was the last fighter to weigh in, is the favorite to face the Briton.

American Gaethje, 37, tipped the scales at 155lbs (11st 1lb).

Due to this, flyweights Deiveson Figueiredo and Alex Perez both lost weight during their respective fights and were unable to purse 25%.

The loss of American bantamweight Cameron Smotherman ruined the weigh-in.
