After 60 days and 11 games in charge, Dunfermline Athletic fired head coach Michael Tidser.
After more than two weeks of negotiations, the 35-year-old joined in the middle of January.
However, he was only able to win three games, two of which came from the Scottish Championship, and his exit was caused by Raith Rovers’ defeat on Friday night in the Fife derby.
The Pars are currently at the bottom of the Championship table thanks to the former Greenock Morton midfielder James McPake’s replacement.
In the interim, assistant head coach Kevin McDonald, John McLaughlan, and David Wotherspoon, a first-team player, will practice.
While compensation was being agreed, Kelty won one game, drawn one, and lost one while McDonald had previously accepted the position of Tidser’s assistant and had previously played three games for McLaughlan as his caretaker.
Dunfermline is now looking for their sixth manager in five years.
According to chairman and CEO David Cook, “Clearly, the club and our supporters have had a difficult time.” We wish Michael the best of luck and applaud his accomplishments as head coach.
We are currently arranging an appointment to keep our league standing.
