Hugh Bonneville and Heidi Kadlecova began dating months after confirming that his marriage to Lulu Williams had ended after 25 years, and he claims he feels “blessed.”
After separating from his 25-year marriage and finding love once more, Hugh Bonneville addressed his new relationship for the first time.
The Downton Abbey favourite and his long-term wife Lulu Williams announced their split in September 2023. The end of their decades of marriage came after the star lost his mother, brother and father in the space of six traumatic years for the 62-year-old.
But happiness was ahead and in October 2024, Hugh confirmed he was in a new relationship with Heidi Kadlecova. According to reports, he has introduced to the vegan influencer by the cast and crew of movie, Go Away!. During their time on set, the pair were reportedly spotted sharing cuddles in between scenes.
The Paddington and Harry Potter actor has now spoken about moving on and said: “I do feel very blessed and very content to have started a new chapter. I am more accepting of the wheel of life and how fortunate I have been to have, on the whole, good health and to do something I love.”

Hugh reflected on the immense loss he experienced after the passing of his mother Patricia while he was speaking to Saga Magazine. He claimed that the funeral director and the entire family had temporarily numbed the grief. I didn’t read any of the condolence or letter of commiseration until a year later when I traveled to India with them all.
I went on my own to this incredibly quiet, peaceful hotel in the middle of nowhere to read all the letters and completely let it out while filming. Everything is emotion. That did a lot of catharsis.
Heidi and Hugh are both improving, and it was rumored that Claire Rankin, who played roles in Molly’s Game and Seven in Heaven, and Ally McBeal, was dating her right away after his split. In March, they were spotted together, but they decided not to comment on the rumors. Heidi and Hugh were spotted together in July.
Hugh and Lulu’s love story was the stuff of fairy tales, having first crossed paths in their teen years, only to rekindle their romance decades later thanks to a little matchmaking from Hugh’s mother, Patricia.
Lulu was running a marquee company, his mother reportedly contacted her to request some chairs or something and said, “Do you remember Hugh?” and we stayed in touch after that. I was so upset that I had to give my mother full credit for introducing us again.
In West Sussex, England, they once shared a space with each other and had previously stated that they had not wanted Hollywood’s glitz to affect them.
Hugh and Lulu are proud parents of Felix, their son, who is 23 years old. Although the couple made the decision to maintain a relatively private family life, Hugh once addressed fatherhood in the parenting magazine Parents.
