Desire Doue, the Paris Saint-Germain forward, is set for a second spell on the sidelines after leaving the stadium on crutches following his team’s 1-1 draw with Lorient on Wednesday.

After allegedly injuring his right thigh on the hour mark, Doue, 20, was stretchered off the field in tears.

After suffering a calf injury while playing for France during the international break in September, he has only recently returned to action.

According to PSG’s Luis Enrique, “it’s always bad news when there are injuries.”

I’m not sure exactly how he feels, but it’s an odd injury. I’m hoping it’s not a serious accident.

As he boarded the PSG bus, Doue was reported to be using crutches and avoiding putting weight on his right leg after the match, according to the AFP news agency.

In 61 games, Doue scored 16 goals and assisted 16 others as PSG won the Champions League for the first time, along with a domestic double, in 2024-2025.

He scored his first goals of the season last week in the Champions League’s 7-2 defeat of Bayer Leverkusen, before scoring again in PSG’s 3-0 league victory over Brest on Saturday.
