At Thursday’s weigh-in in Miami, Anthony Joshua pushed Jake Paul’s fist away from his face and said, “Don’t touch me.”

For Friday’s contentious heavyweight fight, Briton Joshua weighed in almost two stone heavier than Paul, a novice boxer.

Two-time world champion Joshua, 36, raised his fist first toward Paul before he realized how irritated he was when he responded in kind.

Following the Londoner’s earlier “kill” comments earlier in the week, Joshua then gestured with a throat-slitting look as Paul left.

After the weigh-in, Joshua vowed to minimize the exchange, insisting that the two people had “mutual respect.”

When asked what he had said to Paul, he responded, “Don’t touch me.”

Paul continued to irritate Joshua while they were speaking in Joshua’s interview.

He is “top heavy.” Observe those legs. Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, shook his head and laughed as he “chinned his legs,” Paul yelled.

Fear is what I smell. I can see something in his eyes, Paul continued.

“He is under a lot of pressure.” I’m free to fight. I’ve already won. He loses money in this circumstance. I’ve got him where I want him to be.

Joshua gains weight, and Paul lashes out in a bizarre tirade.

A press-only, low-key weigh-in followed a ceremonial weigh-in at the Fillmore Miami Beach on Thursday morning at the Fontainebleau hotel.

Joshua was required to weigh in under 17st 7lb (111kg), which shows the gulf in experience between the fighters. However, heavyweights do not typically have to do so.

He tipped the scales at 17st 5lb (110kg), with Paul weighing 15st 7lb (98kg).

Paul calmly entered the room before embarking on a brief, animated, and somewhat confusing tirade at the previous official weigh-in.

Do you recognize me as a person? As he gestured toward the assembled media, he yelled, “I am him,” eyes wide.

Paul weighed in at a weight of 3 pounds more than he did for his fight against Mike Tyson last year, making him the heaviest.

The weight disparity has been a hot topic for discussion.

Paul’s main boxing position has been cruiserweight for the majority of his career.

Joshua, who previously posted a video on social media that showed himself being on target two weeks ago, was never anticipated to miss the cap.

Caroline Dubois, a Briton Caroline Dubois, made her WBC lightweight world title defense against Camilla Panatta with a smile on her way to the stage.

Dubois, 24, appeared strong at the weight, with both fighters weighing one pound less than the 9st 9lb (61kg) weight limit.

As they squared off, the Londoner and her Italian opponent exchanged words.

Dubois said later, “I said I was going to break her, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.”

At Wednesday’s news conference, she engaged in lively conversation with super-fighterweight Alycia Baumgardner, who also appears on the card.

Dubois has 11 wins and one draw in her previous fight, and this is her first appearance with Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, a boxing organization that invests a lot in women’s boxing.

Dubois, who has long been viewed as one of the sport’s future faces, has taken the stage with the Netflix broadcast of the event.
