Dolly Parton, a legend in music, was forced to omit a Dollywood performance due to kidney stones after posting a video of her apologetic treatment to fans.
Dolly Parton has been forced to cancel a scheduled appearance at Dollywood on Wednesday after her doctor advised her not to travel due to kidney stones.
Instead, the 79-year-old country music legend apologized for missing the opening of one of the park’s new attractions via a pre-recorded video.
“I know. You may be wondering why you’re here and wondering why you’re there. I did, however, have a small issue. In the video shared on X, Dolly claimed that she had a kidney stone that was giving her a lot of problems.
As she addressed her disappointed fans, she explained that an infection has given her medical advice. The doctor informed the patient that there was an infection and that you don’t need to travel this minute. You need to recuperate for a while. He therefore advised me against visiting Dollywood today. I want to make it clear that I was anticipating everything.

She continued, letting her adoring fans know that everything will turn out fine. I’m just unable to continue today.
Dolly’s music legend’s year has seen a significant personal loss, and the cancellation and health issues come with it. She lost Carl Dean, her devoted husband of 58 years, in March.
Since their 1964 encounter outside a laundromat in Nashville, the pair had been living together. They tied the knot in Georgia two years later.
Dolly characterized their relationship as having a profound impact: “Carl and I spent many wonderful years together. Words cannot adequately express the love we have shared for more than 60 years. I appreciate your sincere and compassionate words.
She also detested her brother David earlier this year, which added to the grief caused by the loss of three more siblings over time. Dolly has made it clear how much her ability to work has been affected by these personal tragedies.
Speaking with Khloe Kardashian, she reflected on how grief has temporarily slowed her creative projects: “There’s a few things now.
When you ask me if there are things I started but haven’t finished, I have several things I’ve wanted to start, but I can’t do it because my husband passed away three months ago. I’m just coming up with some wonderful, lovely ideas, but I don’t want to finish them.
Despite these setbacks, Dolly continues to be committed to her music and creative endeavors despite the slowdown in progress. There are situations like that that temporarily stall you. However, if it comes, I’ll write something else. She said, “I’m just putting that all on hold.”
