Later this week, the London Underground will start to shake, causing thousands of passengers to lose tickets to see Coldplay at Wembley. Many people have had to resell their tickets because they are unable to make the rescheduled date, while others have had to spend hundreds on travel adjustments.

Tube services will be severely impacted from Sunday, September 7 through Thursday, September 11 thanks to a confirmation from Transport for London (TfL) that strikes would begin this week. Due to the rail, maritime, and transportation (RMT)’s collective actions, Coldplay were forced to reschedule two of their September 7 and 8 shows at Wembley Stadium.

We’re sorry to inform you that we have been forced to reschedule our final two concerts of the current Wembley Stadium run due to planned industrial action on the London Underground.

It’s impossible to transport 82, 000 people to the concert and home safely without a Tube service, so no event permits can be issued for the nights of September 7 and 8.

“To avoid cancelling the shows, our only option is to reschedule.” The band confirmed the show on September 7 would move to September 6, and the show on September 8 would move to September 12.

One ticket holder was forced to spend almost £1, 000 on travel alone in order to see Chris Martin and the band at Wembley, despite the good news that the show will continue. The Coldplay fan claimed that they “couldn’t write it” after revealing all the extra costs they’ve encountered on TikTok.

The fan claimed she had her nails done specifically for the event before learning that the concert had been rescheduled the following day. She claimed she had been scheduled to see Coldplay on September 8. She changed their previous Premier Inn booking for the following week in an urgent dash, but the extra fee was £100.

This resulted in a total of £376 for hotel reservations. London lodging is notoriously expensive, and according to the TikToker, “Extra £100, that’s not bad,” it’s unclear whether it’s for a one- or two-night stay.

However, she had to rebook her flights, which was her next hit. The fan changed their EasyJet flights and was forced to pay an additional £268 for the privilege after being mistaken for one coming from Scotland.

On a weekday, EasyJet flights from Edinburgh, Scotland, to London, Gatwick cost between £77 and £77 respectively. This is in stark contrast to a weekend flight, which can cost an estimated £258 for a return, which departs on Friday and arrives on Saturday.

The fan wrote in the caption “Don’t book a concert in London if you’re not from England!!!” in a screenshot of her flight amendment. “!

She revealed that she spent an additional $ 370 on travel and accommodation in addition to her already estimated £600 spent on the night in London, not to mention the cost of the Coldplay tickets themselves, despite the fact that she was thankfully able to reschedule her own bookings in a bid to see Coldplay!

Social media users expressed sympathy for the situation in a response to the post. One wrote, “I feel this,” and the other, “sickening” and “not a vibe,” was the third.
