On Saturday, March 14, James ” Jazza ” Dickens” will face Belfast’s Anthony Cacace for the first time in Dublin’s 3 Arena.

The Liverpool southpaw, who had previously fought in lightweight and light-welterweight matches before he lost to Feargal McCrory of County Tyrone in 2024, was given the belt in December, earning him the title as a full champion.

With a 36-5 record and 15 knockout victories, Dickens, who was scheduled to face Hayato Tsutsumi in Saudi Arabia on December 27th, withdrew due to injury. In addition, he won the interim title with a fourth-round stoppage of Albert Batyrgaziev in July.

Instead, the 34-year-old will face Cacace, a former IBF champion who has won just one fight and nine knockouts.

In May, he gave up the belt in a fight against Leigh Wood, whom he defeated by a ninth-round stoppage at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena.

Cacace hasn’t gotten back into the ring since then, breaking his leg, which prevented him from meeting with Raymond Ford in Saudi Arabia in August.

He defeats Josh Warrington at Wembley Stadium four months later, and he makes a second-time champion in his bid to become a two-time champion. He defeated Joe Cordina in his first competition in Saudi Arabia in 2024, making it two more successful.
