After a fight broke out on set in Thailand, Nate Diaz decided not to work with Jon Jones for a reality TV show.
On a Russian version of The Ultimate Fighter, the UFC stars were supposed to play as opposing coaches.
Diaz, 40, arrived in Thailand this week, but a fight broke out between his team members on the first day of filming.
According to Jones, “One of our young fighters, a guy by the name of Zalik, was playing with Nate.”
He wished to fight Nate in a game.
Nate seemed a little bit on edge when he arrived, because he may have had some previous animosity with some Russian fighters.
The best idea was to play fight with Nate, according to the author. We had to replace Nate right away because it quickly became serious.”
Before several more people got involved, Diaz’s friend Jake Shields claimed that the American “slapped” the person before taking him to Thailand.
When the first melee occurred before a second incident broke out later, Jones attempted to play peacemaker during the altercation that has since been captured on video.
Jones will continue to produce the reality show. While interim belt holder Tom Aspinall is unsure whether he will fight the American, the UFC heavyweight champion has refused to confirm whether he is officially retired.
